Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with Fingerprint scanner launched in China

Just after 3 months from release of Redmi Note 2, Xiaomi has announced it’s successor in China, the Xioami Redmi Note 3 with full aluminum unibody design. Xiaomi also announced Mi Pad 2 and Mi purifier at the event.

It sports 5.5 inch Full HD fully laminated display with sunlight display technology. Dimensions of the device are 150 X 76 X 8.65 mm and it weighs 164 gram. It is powered by 64-bit Octa core MT6795 Helio X10 SoC (cortex A53) with PowerVR G6200 GPU. The Redmi Note 3 comes in 2 variants – 16 GB storage with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage with 3 GB RAM.

The device features 13 MP autofocus rear camera with 5 lens, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and dual tone flash.  There is 5 MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfie photos. Both, front and rear cameras can shoot videos in Full HD and main camera can also shoot videos in slow motion at 120 fps. Other camera features include Panorama, HDR, Manual mode, and face recognition.

 The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with MIUI 7 on top. There’s the fingerprint sensor on the back which can unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds and integrates with Xiaomi’s new Mi Wallet service. 4000 mAh battery on device supports fast charging (5V / 2A) and can provide 264 hours of standby time.

16 GB (2 GB RAM) variant is priced at CNY 899 (US $141) and 32 GB (3 GB RAM) variant is priced at CNY 1099 (US $172) and it will be available in Silver, Gold and Dark Grey colors. It will be available in China starting November 27th at 10AM on Xiaomi’s mi.com site and its retail stores.
