Xiaomi MiPad launched in India for Rs.12999

MiPad was released in China in June, 2014 and after almost 9 months Xiaomi has launched MiPad in India for Rs.12999.

Xiaomi has strengthened its roots in India in Smartphone business with products like Mi3, Mi4, Redmi 1S, Note 3G & Note 4G. Mr.ManuKumar Jain (Xiaomi India Head) tweeted in December last year, Xiaomi has sold more than 1 Million smartphones in India.

Now to compete against Samsung & Apple, Xiaomi has launched MiPad in India. Xiaomi MiPad has powerful specs with very competitive price tag of Rs.12999.

MiPad alone

MiPad has 7.9” IPS Display with resolution of 2048 X 1536, which comes to PPI of 326. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Processor is powered by Quad-Core 2.2GHz NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 based on ARM Cortex-A15. NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 uses the same Kepler GPU architecture found in next-gen PC gaming, which utilizes 192 CUDA cores to deliver advanced graphics capabilities.

MiPad scored fantastic in synthetic benchmark results.

Inside it has 16GB of eMMC Flash storage with capacity to add up to 128GB of MicroSD (TF). So that MiPad can be your next multimedia device with whooping total storage capacity of 144GB. For smooth gaming and multitasking It has 2GB LPDDR3 RAM.

Xiaomi claims 11 hours of Video streaming, 86 hours of music playback & 1300 hours on stadby with 6700mAh Lithium-ion Polymer Battery. In a tablet, High-End camera is not required but Xiaomi has not left any stone unturned. Its has 8MP Sony BSI rear camera and 5MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

For connectivity it supports Dual Band WiFi with Dual-antenna & MIMO (multiple input and multiple output) support. It also has USB OTG support out of the box.
MiPad will be available from 24th March, 2015 in India for Rs.12999.
